Vestal R. Gunter

Mr. Vestal Gunter was born November 1, 1942 to the late Vera and Jessie Gunter of Surry County, North Carolina. He departed this life on August 11, 2017. Upon graduation from J.J. Jones High School in Mount Airy, North Carolina in 1961, he moved to East Orange New Jersey. Vestal Gunter married Naomi Woods Tillman on March 13, 1986 in Irvington, NJ and lived thee for many years. He was employed with Ford Motor Company in Edison, NJ for thirty three years. Vestal and Naomi relocated to Camden, SC in 2006. Vestal leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Naomi; brothers, Thomas (Betty) Gunter of Greenville, NC; Samuel (Brenda) Gunter of Mount Airy, NC, Charles M. Gunter of Pine Top, NC and Willis C. (Debra) Gunter of Mount Airy, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Velma G. Tatum.
