TROY JEFFREY ADDISON,SR.,58, son of Alberta Wood Addison and the late Walter Addison, Sr., was born December 25, 1961 at Kershaw County Hospital in Camden, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Kershaw Health Medical Center.Troy was educated in the public schools of Kershaw County, graduating from Lugoff-Elgin High School in 1980. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1981-1985. During his time in the Navy, he traveled to ports all around the world. After leaving the Navy, he attended Midlands Technical College, earning an associate degree in 1994 and was an honor graduate majoring in Industrial Technology& Commercial Graphics. At an early age, Troy joined Mt. Sinai AME Church. He was baptized at Brookland Baptist Church, West Columbia, South Carolina in April 1997. He served as Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher for teens. He also sang with the Sonrise Chorale, serving as president from 1999-2000. He also attended Calvary Chapel Lexington and Irmo. Troy served for eight years as Manager of Calvary Chapel Thrift Store, his biggest ministry. Most recently, he was employed by Charter Communications. Troy was the biggest Clemson football fan EVER! He loved to cook, especially grilling. He also loved spending time with his family, and he loved music of every genre.Those left to cherish his precious memories include: his loving wife � Monica Algood Addison of the home; his children � Troy J. Addison, Jr. of Accokeek, Maryland, Nelson Addison of Central, South Carolina and Eliot Brooke Addison of the home; his mother � Alberta Wood Addison of Elgin, South Carolina; siblings � Lawrence E. (Janice) Wood, Nellie Ruff, Yvonne Addison and Priscilla (James) Addison; grandchildren � Teyanna, Xavier, Leilah and Troy III; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
