Memorial services for Mr. Tres Wood will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Fort Clark Baptist Church. The family ask for friends to join them at a repast immediately following the memorial service on Saturday.
TRES LAWRENCE WOOD, 19, of Elgin, South Carolina, died on Friday, February 14, 2020.
Born on October 23, 2000, in South Carolina to beloved parents, Todd and Nissary Wood, Tres was affectionately known as the "Youngest Son"or the "Baby Boy" of the Wood Family. Tres was a loving young man who would give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it. He would do anything for you, he had a kind heart. He was one of the most affectionate and caring person you could ever meet.
Tres filmed for Lugoff-Elgin High School football games. He filmed and took pictures of other people winning, while he cheered them on. He never had to win or be first, but he was always present. He tried to impact the lives around him positively in his own unique ways. He believed everyone was good and kind.
Tres is survived by: his parents, Todd and Nissary of Elgin, South Carolina; his sister, Simone (Chris) Kinnaman of Texas; his brothers, Langston and Thai Wood of Elgin, South Carolina; his paternal great-grandmother, Alberta Addison of Elgin, South Carolina; his paternal grandmother, Valeria J. Taylor of Elgin, South Carolina; his paternal grandparents, Jack and Janice Wood of Elgin, South Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Linda Pertell Fling-Norfleet of Marion; his aunt, Nicole T. Lopez of Texas; his uncles, Rich Fling of Oregon; Dana Wood of Elgin, South Carolina and Jack Wood of North Carolina. Being from a large family, he is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
