Born in Richland County, South Carolina, TRAVIS RONRICO MCLEOD was the son of Sammie (Annette) Tucker, Jr. and Kathleen (Curtis) Drakeford. He began his spiritual journey at a very early age as a St. Matthew United Methodist Church member. He was a very active choir member, Salkehatchie, and W.A.R.M. Ministry until joining the military. Travis later joined the High Hill Baptist Church to continue in his Christian journey. He attended Camden High School, a three -year varsity football starter, upon graduating and enlisting in the United States Navy. Travis was a Master Mason of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge, State and Jurisdiction of South Carolina and a member of Composite Lodge 372 of Camden, South Carolina.
He worked as a commercial truck driver for Fox Trucking, Inc., out of Duluth, Georgia, and he loved his family, advent fisherman, baseball player, and a want - to -be golfer. Travis had the most affectionate smile and a loving personality. He met no strangers; Travis loved everyone.
He was predeceased by his grandmothers, Mrs. Ida McLeod and Mrs. Dorothy Norwood and grandfather, Minister James Drakeford.
Those left to cherish his precious memories include: two daughters, Tatiana Halley of Norfolk, Virginia and Bella Starr McLeod of Camden, South Carolina; two sisters, Shameka (Brandon) Worrell of Glen Allen , Virginia and Gabriella Sloan Drakeford of Camden, South Carolina; two brothers , Sanchez (Destyni) Tucker of Columbia , South Carolina and Curtis (Morgan) Drakeford of Camden, South Carolina; grandparents, Sammie (Dorothy) Tucker , Sr., Mae Belle Jackson Drakeford and Nathaniel A. Norwood; a loving fiancé, Queen Angela Turner; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great -aunts and uncles other family and friends.
