Mr. Rosenwald Kirkland, Jr left for his forever home on 24th of July 2022, after a long, strong battle with cancer with his loving wife standing by his side. Rosenwald was born April 25, 1951, in Ridgeway, South Carolina. He is the son of Mrs. Etta P Kirkland and the Late Rosenwald Kirkland, Sr.
Rosenwald received his education at Jackson High, where he also drove the school bus. Rosenwald was a strong, hardworking man who retired from Welychem of Elgin formerly, known as Clariant, after 40 plus years. Friendly and well known, Rosenwald went by many names such as Chops, Rose, Roe, and Jr. Roe enjoyed music, family time, he liked to be outdoors and loved to watch his Westerns.
Rosenwald was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Rosenwald Kirkland, Sr and his brother, Joseph Benjamin Kirkland, Sr.
The ones left to cherish his memories are his mother, Ms. Etta P Kirkland of Ridgeway, SC; wife, Edna Kirkland; his three children, Tara Kirkland, Kevin Kirkland, and Kenya Kirkland (Tristen Trivett) all of Lugoff; four grandchildren he and his wife helped raise, Mya Butler, Alexis Kirkland, Landon Kirkland, and Kayten Trivett; four sisters, Mrs. Frances Wood of Lugoff, SC, Mrs. Juanita Washington, and Mrs. Daisy (Willie) Kennedy of Ridgeway, SC, and Mrs. Jacqueline Jackson of Lugoff, SC; three brothers, Willie (Deborah) Kirkland of Ridgeway, S.C, Alfred Kirkland of Columbia, and James (Sharon) Kirkland of Lugoff; a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
