Roger Taylor Belton, 55, formerly of Camden, South Carolina entered into rest October 27, 2019. He was born August 4, 1964 in Camden, South Carolina to the late Taylor Belton, Jr and Hattie Mae McClinton Belton. He was reared by his maternal grandparents, George and Lizzie McClinton due to the early death of his parents.
Roger received his early Christian education at Good Hope AME Zion Church where he sang on the Junior Choir. He was a 1982 graduate from North Central High School. Following graduation, he went to work at New South Lumber Mill. He met and married Caroline Lee. Roger worked up until Caroline's health failed and he cared for her up until she passed away. Roger was a loving brother, cousin and friend. While he was quiet and kept to himself, he often was a person that others wanted to be around.
Those that are left to cherish his memory include his beloved daughter, Ki'morra Mo'nique Belton; sisters, Rosalind (Steve) Hampton and Alice (Baxter) Williams; brother, Jimmy (Marjorie) Belton, Sr.; uncle, Walter (Viola) Belton, Sr.; mother-in-law, Minister Kizzie (James) Atkins; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
