Raymond K. Coleman, Sr, 80, of Camden, South Carolina entered into rest on May 14, 2018. He was born in Camden, South Carolina on May 14, 1938 to the late Charlie Coleman and Odessa Boykin Coleman.
He received his early christian education at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, where he is currently a member. Raymond was a graduate of Jackson High School in Camden, South Carolina. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Washington, D.C. and went to work for Mr. Jack Kent Cook at the Congressional Country Club as a maitre d (HAIL TO THE REDSKINS). After relocating back to South Carolina, he worked for Cogsdill Tool Company as a machinist until his retirement in 1998. Raymond was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Willie Coleman.
Those left to cherish his memories include, his wife of 28 years, Maggie Neal Coleman; children, Raymond K. Coleman, Jr, Charles Neal, Melvin Neal, Ernest Neal and Barry Neal; siblings, Alma Green, Dorothy (Sammie) Tucker; Terry (Audrey) Coleman, Cheryl Coleman Major, Kathy (Theodore) Coleman and sister-in-law Ethel Coleman; and host of grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
