Mrs. Nora Bell Gray entered into eternal life at her residence in Lugoff, South Carolina on Thursday, July 27, 2017.
Nora was born in Kershaw County on June 24, 1948 to the late Mr. George Lyles, Sr., and the late Mrs. Beatrice Hattie Lyles. Nora received her education in Kershaw County Public schools. She received her religious training at Fort Clark Baptist Church in Elgin, South Carolina. Nora relocated from Norwalk, Connecticut to South Carolina in 1988. She continued her career in housekeeping as Supervisor at the Springdale Nursing Home, Camden, South Carolina and Nightingales Nursing in Camden, South Carolina until her retirement in 2017. She was preceded in death by her brother, Grover Lyles, Jr. and her granddaughter, Saraya Monsanto. Those left to cherish her fond memory are her daughter: Lisa Lyles of Lugoff, South Carolina; two sons, Kenneth Lyles of Lugoff, South Carolina and Jermaine (Sinctra) Gray of Blythwood, South Carolina; one sister, Frances (Percy) Vaughn of Camden, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Trent, Treston, Santana, Kira, Kayi, and Emmanuel; two great grandchildren; three aunts, Ella Toone, Carrie (Charles) Clark of Mt. Vernon, New York; a special aunt, Della Hudson of Pontiac, South Carolina; two uncles, John (Brenda) Lyles of Mt. Vernon, New York and Heyward Belton of Lugoff, South Carolina; very special family friends, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Scott of Connecticut; special neighbor, Mrs. Alberta Bennett and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
