Ms. Mary Dorothy Turner was born June 4, 1964 in Roanoke Virginia. She was the beloved daughter of Morris Turner Jr. and Dorothy F. Turner. She departed this life on April 18, 2019, at the age of 54, at Kershaw Health in Camden, SC.
Mary affectionately known by her mother as “Big Dee” attended Camden High School in Camden, South Carolina. After leaving high school Mary worked various jobs, she later became a Caregiver at Morningside of Camden, where she worked for 9 years. Mary really loved being a caregiver because of her love for the elderly. Mary also previously attended Greater Faith Deliverance Church where she served as an usher.
Mary was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Although, she is not physically with us, her loving memory will forever live in our hearts and the lives of all of those who loved and knew her.
Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Ann Kearney. She is lovingly survived by her children, Samantha Logan Turner of the home, Jeffery Bruce Turner of Columbia, South Carolina, and Brandon Lee Turner of Columbia, South Carolina; three sisters, Lorie L. Campbell (Kavin) of Camden, SC; Teresa Turner- Wallace (Quintin) of Columbia, South Carolina, Jeannine Outen (Tracy) of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers, Morris Turner III (Lasonja) of Columbia, South Carolina and Jack Turner of Camden, South Carolina; two grandchildren Xavier Elijah Turner of Camden, South Carolina and Ariyah Re’nelle Turner of Camden, South Carolina; and a host of nieces and nephews all of whom will miss her dearly.
