Margaret (Boyd) Skinner

June 14, 1940 — April 9, 2016

God saw the road was getting rough. The hill was hard to climb. He gently closed His eyes and whispered, "Peace Be Thine."  Christianity does not exempt one from death.  It only ensures triumph over it. Unknown Author God would have us to know that each season must carry its number and that everyone must pass through life's autumn of dying.  Eternal life came for Mrs. Margaret Boyd Skinner on the evening of April 9, 2016 at Kershaw Health Medical Center in Camden, South Carolina as a result of an extended illness. Margaret B. Skinner was born in Camden, South Carolina to the late Hampton Boyd, Jr and the late Catherine Champion Boyd. She was a graduate of Jackson High School and the Garner's School of Beauty Culture in Sumter, South Carolina where she became a licensed cosmetologist. Mrs. Skinner received her early religious training at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Camden, South Carolina. She professed her hope in Christ throughout her life. She served in various positions within the church. Some of them included; Superintendent of Sunday School, Secretary and Church Treasurer and a member of the United Methodist Women's Unit. She is also a member of the Twelve Tribes. Margaret retired form DuPont industries after many years and continued part-time employment with the Salley Beauty Supply Company.
