Lula Bell Alexander

July 27, 1932 — July 23, 2021

Ms. Lula aka (Nana, Nanalicious, Ma) Alexander daughter of the late Annie Alexander and Landy Alexander Sr was born in Camden, South Carolina on July 27, 1932.

She departed this life on July 23, 2021 at Kershaw Health, Camden South Carolina after an extended stay at Springdale Nursing Home.

At an early age, Lula was baptized and joined St. Paul United Methodist Church. Ms. Alexander was educated in the Kershaw County School system.

Those left to cherish her fond memories and to celebrate her home going are children, Cynthia Alexander of Camden, SC and Dorethia (Spencer) Rutledge of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren, Shanette, Hope, Mark (Tori), Corey, and April (Trevor); ten great-grandchildren, DeShanaye, Mark, Juwan (Paris), Keilan, Faizah, Kairah, Larkin, Trevor Jr, Trece and Ari; one great-great grandchild, Khalil; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her five brothers, and her six sisters.

There will be no public viewing. Funeral Services will take place at 1 PM on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Please keep the Alexander family in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of their matriarch.
