Larry Leon Doby

Mr. Larry Leon Doby, son of the late Clarence and Ruby Doby, was born in Kershaw County on February 11, 1958.  He entered into eternal rest on May 12, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.   Larry attended the public schools of Kershaw County.  He was a 1976 graduate of Camden High School.  Larry was employed with DuPont and The Training Center (Carolina Cup). He received his early religious training at Good Hope and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Churches.  Everyone knew him as the neighborhood handyman.  He had a love for fishing and reading the newspaper from front to back. He leaves to celebrate his homegoing three sisters: Mary Doby, Cynthia Doby and Carolyn Doby, all of Camden, SC; three brothers: Clarence Doby and Robert Doby of Camden, SC and John Doby of New York City, NY; six aunts: Joan (Samuel) Belton and Earline Woods of Queens, NY, Amelia (Herman) Brantley of Ridgeland, SC, Shirley (Patrick) Saunders of West Palm Beach, FL, Ida Taylor of Camden, SC and Aria Taylor of Chicago, IL; one uncle: David (Katie) Taylor of Mt. Poconos, PA.  Also left to cherish his memories are a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by two siblings: Michael Doby and Laura Taylor.
