Kershaw Thomas DuBose

February 15, 1954 — March 5, 2018

Mr. Kershaw Thomas “Bo Dilly” DuBose, 64, of Kennesaw, GA, formerly of Bethune, SC, entered into eternal rest on March 5, 2018 in Atlanta, GA. Born in Cassatt, SC on February 15, 1954, he was a son of the late Pearl L. DuBose Butler and the late Rev. Charles “Charlie” E. Butler, Sr.


Bo, as he was affectionately known, attended Jackson High School and was a graduate of Camden High School. In his youth, he was a bus driver. He had a love for the outdoors, architecture and people. Bo assisted with the design of the parking lot of the courthouse in Camden. Bo worked for the Kendall Company as a supervisor until his retirement. Later in life, he worked as a painter and a handy man in the Charleston, SC area. When he wasn’t painting, he enjoyed being outdoors and teaching his nephews how to fish and do home repair work.


He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Linda Diane Lee; step sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Butler; Step brother, Dana Lee; former spouse, Marilyn Dunham DuBose.


Those left to cherish his memories, a son, Quintin DuBose of Bethune, SC; one grandson, Quintin Douglas of Bethune, SC; brothers, Edward J. Lee, Jr of Camden, SC, Lewis J. Lee of Atlanta, GA, and Robert D. Butler; sister, Sonya L. Butler of Kennesaw, GA; Step brothers, Daryl Lee, Leroy Lee, Eric Wright, Charlie Butler, Jr, and Bill Butler; Step sisters, Catherine “Cat” Watkins, Sue Watkins and Gertrude Butler; aunt, Katherine DuBose James; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
