On Friday, April 17th, 2020, Kamaiyah Reign Wood, a loving daughter, sister and grandchild, passed away at the sweet age of eighteen months to a tragic accident. She entered into eternal sleep at Kershaw Health in Camden, South Carolina.
Kamiyah was born on September 27, 2018 at Carolina Pines in Hartsville, South Carolina to Portia Walker and Delmarcus Wood.
Kamiyah was such a beautiful soul. Her eyes were sure to light up your heart. She loved to play with her sister and uncles. Miyah, also known as "Cookie", loved everyone. She brought a love to everyone that she met. Cookie was her mother's best friend and her father's old lady. The love and joy that our sweet affectionate Miyah gave can never be replaced; but her memories will live on in us forever.
Kamiyah was preceded in death by her great grandmothers, Oretta B. Wood, Jorene Davis and Josephine Walker; and great uncle, Melvin Lawhorne, III.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Camilla Wood; maternal grandparents, Joanna Collins, and Eald (Cassandra) Walker; paternal grandparents, Demetria (George) Wood, Carl Davis and Jeremy Samuel; maternal great grandparents, Oscar Collins, Eldora Wilson, Shirley Walker and Joann (Clifford) Pressley; paternal great grandparents, Charlie Wood, Jr, Charles Young, Jacqueline (Robert) Williams and Melvin (Ruby) Lawhorne, II; uncles, Deaunte Samuel and JaDarius Samuel; great aunties and uncles, Susan Belton, Rhonda Belton, Jennifer Massey, Tiffany (Christopher) Sumpter, Xavier Wood, Charles Alexander, Tasha (Willis) Lane, Jessica (Derrick) Lane, Dwight (Politiece) Coleman, Andrew Samuel and Richard Hubbard. She was also survived by a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family has selected to hold a viewing on Saturday, April 25, 2020 from 12 PM until 3 PM. There will be no other formal services or rights in accordance to the family's wishes.
