Johnnie Gripper

Mr. Johnnie Gripper, Jr., 84, of Ridgeway, South Carolina entered into rest on December 7, 2019. He was born September 21, 1935, to the late Johnnie Gripper, Sr. and Sarah Richardson.
Johnnie honorably served in the United States Navy and was employed by Manhattan Shirt Company for several years before retiring. He was a dedicated member and served on the Deacon's Board of White Oak Baptist Church #2. While he was known as a man of few words, he commanded the respect of those around him.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Beverly Harris Gripper and daughter, Michelle Gripper; siblings, Philip Gripper, Eddie Gripper, Willie Gripper, and Calvin Gripper.
Those left to cherish his memories include: his son, Kevin Gripper of Hayward, California; brother, Herbert Gripper of Ridgeway, South Carolina; sister, Bennie Gripper of Atlanta, Georgia; extended family and friends.
