Jamie Symone Belton Charles

January 26, 1990 — May 24, 2023

Jamie Symone Belton-Charles was born January 26, 1990, to her loving and supportive parents Jimmy and Marjorie Belton. She was promoted to her heavenly home to begin her eternal rest on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Jamie attended Camden High School where she graduated in 2008. She worked as a shift manager at McDonalds on Blythewood Road and on Bluff Road until her health failed and she could no longer work. She was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Kirkwood. Jamie sang on the junior choir and was a member of the Usher Board.

Jamie was escorted into her transition with the Lord by her loving sister, Sholanda Belton; maternal grandmother, Estelle “Poochie” Belton; paternal grandparents, Hattie and Taylor Belton; paternal great-great grandmother, Lizzie McClinton; Aunt, Betty Belton; Uncle, Taylor Belton; cousin, Monty Demary; and her “brother from another mother,” Leon Moses.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Les Charles of the home; her parents who were by her side every step of the way, Jimmy and Marjorie Belton of Columbia, SC; the apples of her eyes, her children, Shawn, Isaiah, Leonardo, Morgan, and her bonus baby, Gabby; her overprotective baby brother who always acted like an older brother to both his sisters, Jimmy Belton of Atlanta, GA; eight aunts who were her prayer warriors that prayed with her and for her until the end, Lauretta Belton, Jan Kiser, Rosalyn (Steven) Hampton, Alice (Baxter) Williams, Cheryl Brown, Tiesha Belton, and Cindy Hampton all of Camden, SC and Audrey (Moses) Lyles of Elgin, SC; three uncles who watched over and protected her until the end, James (Virginia) Belton, Alex Belton, both of Camden, SC, and Ray Kiser of Bishopville, SC; too many cousins to name but, they all grew up together like brothers and sisters playing in the dirt at Grandma Poochies house; her in-laws, Elester and Addie Scott of Aiken, SC; big sister, Jessica Richards; work Mom, Cythnia Thomas; her supervisor, Charlie Goodwin, who treated her more like family; plus, many, many more family and friends.
