Isaac Fowler, Jr

July 6, 1951 — February 3, 2021

Isaac Fowler, Jr., 3rd child and 1st born son of the late Isaac Fowler, Sr. and the late Gladys B. Fowler, was born July 6, 1951 in Westville, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

Isaac was a graduate of Baron Dekalb High School in Westville, South Carolina. He was a US Army veteran. At an early age, he joined Belmont Baptist Church where he was a lifelong member. He was Chairman of Deacons Ministry, Sunday School Superintendent, President of the Male Chorus and a member of the BBC Gospel Choir. Deacon Fowler always found a way to add laughter to the church services. He was also Chaplain of Hadoth Masonic Lodge #250.

First and foremost, he was a real dad who loved his sons. He inherited his love for Fords from his dad, Isaac Fowler, Sr. He was a collector of antique cars. There was never a dull moment with him. He loved to laugh.

Isaac was owner and operator of his trucking business for many years. He retired from US Express Trucking after one million miles of safe driving.

Isaac joins the cloud of witnesses that includes both of his parents; one son, Tywan S. Fowler; one sister, Diane Hemingway and one brother, Jerry “Bill Boy” Fowler.

Those left to cherish his memories: his wife – Bobby Fowler of Lugoff, South Carolina; two sons – Shawn “Q-Ball” (April) Bracey of Camden, South Carolina and Tremaine “Charlie T” (Tamara) Fowler of Columbia, South Carolina; seven sisters – Barbara (Roosevelt) Odom and Betty Goodwin, both of Augusta, Georgia, Reverend Rebecca Harris and Joyce Black, both of Camden, South Carolina, Naomi Fowler-Hayes (Sam) of Columbia, South Carolina, Brenda Harris of Westville, South Carolina and Tonette (Terry) Neal of Elgin, South Carolina; one brother – Larry E. (Wanda) Fowler of Westville, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, some of whom he nicknamed. The work that he’s done, truly speaks for him.
