Hattie M. Johnson

November 15, 1948 — June 20, 2016

On Monday, June 20, 2016 at Kershaw Medical Center in Camden, SC God sent his angels down to take Mommy by the hands and told her that her work down here is done. I have a big mansion in the sky for you to live in eternally, Mother is home. Hattie was born on November 15, 1948 in Camden, SC to the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis (Addie) Johnson and to this union eight children were born. She is preceded in death by one sister, Miriam Johnson and three brothers, Charles, Herbert, and Lewis Johnson. She received her education in Camden & Brooklyn, NY. She retired from AT&T/Nynex in New York and moved back to South Carolina shortly after. She became a member of Parker Baptist Church where her mother the late Addie Johnson was once the "Mother of The Church." She served on the Usher Board and helped out where she could. Our beloved Hattie was a very loving and caring mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who was loved and adorned by all who came in contact with her. Left to cherish her loving memories are one daughter, Ms. Precious (Craig) Audrey Johnson; three sons, Mr. Larry (Lisa) Johnson, Mr. James (Gloria) Johnson, and Mr. David (Keaeraha) Eugene Watson, Jr.; two sisters, Ms. Louise Feazell and Ms. Louella Johnson, one brother, Howard Johnson, eleven grandchildren, Larry Johnson, Jr., Ashley (Enoch) Johnson Ford, Andrew Johnson, Leondi Johnson, James Johnson, Jr., Destiny Johnson, Tyla Martin, Blaize Watson, Jamera Johnson, Juellz Watson, and Kayla Watson, three great grandchildren, Torie, Nyasia, and Styverson Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
