Ernestine Drakeford

Ms. Ernestine Drakeford entered into eternal life on Monday, June 22nd, 2020 at Providence Fairfield in Winnsboro, South Carolina.

Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Bessie Drakeford. She attended the public schools in Kershaw County and attended the National Institution of Dry Cleaning of Chicago, IL. Ms. Drakeford received her early religious training at Parker Baptist Church where she served faithfully. She was employed by the Camden City Laundry where she worked diligently for 40 years and retired in 2005.

Ms. Drakeford cherished and loved her Dekalb community and the Parker Baptist family and was respected by all who came in contact with her.

Ms. Drakeford was preceded in death by two brothers, six sisters and a beloved niece, Terri Alexander.

Those left to cherish her fond memory, grieve her passing and celebrate her homecoming include her brother, Jesse Drakeford of Paterson, New Jersey; special nephews, Keith Alexander of Camden, South Carolina, Derrick Alexander of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Bernard Drakeford of Paterson, New Jersey and Ronnie Drakeford of Camden, South Carolina; two special friends, Jacqueline Montgomery of Camden, South Carolina and Doris Drakeford of Camden, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
