Daniel Smith

Mr. Daniel Smith entered into eternal life on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Providence Health in Columbia, South Carolina.

Born April 6, 1954 in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late Mr. Johnnie Smith, Sr and the late Bessie Reed Smith. As a young man and throughout his adulthood he served faithfully at St. Peter United Methodist Church. We all know him as "Boone". He loved drawing, gardening, smiling and helping whomever he could. Boone will be remembered for his "quiet and humble" ways.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Bessie Smith; four sisters, Mrs. Laura B. Adamson, Mrs. Beulah M. Dye, Ms. Margaret Smith and Mrs. Carrie Drakeford; two brothers, Mr. Johnnie Smith, Jr and Mr. David Smith.

Those left to cherish his fond memories, grieve his passing and celebrate his home-going are four sisters, Lottie (Allen) Bethune of Patterson, New Jersey, Dorothy (Roosevelt) Townsend of Buffalo, New York, Bessie (Malachi) Sanders of Camden, South Carolina and Dolores (Edward) Dixon of Rochester, New York; five brothers, Michael (Betty) Smith, Otis (Sharon) Smith, LeGrant Smith, Randolph Smith and Larry Smith all of Camden, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. "Boone" will be sorely missed!
