Mr. Cory Jermaine Bouknight, Sr. was born March 21, 1974 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was one of three children born to the late Matthew and Josephine Bouknight. Cory departed this life at Kershaw Health in Camden, South Carolina, Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
Cory was educated in the public schools of Richland County. He was a God fearing man who was a great provider, protector, family man and hard worker. He had a love for motorcycles, fishing, singing and driving trucks. He was a member of the Sanders Creek Male choir where he led his song, "Move Satan", for the first and last time this year. He knew at an early age that he wanted to be a truck driver. Atomic Dog, which was his CB handle, drove trucks for over 20 years and enjoyed every minute of it. He had a big heart and always wanted to make sure his family was happy.
Cory was preceded in death by his father: Matthew F. Bouknight, his mother: Josephine G. Bouknight, his brother: Matthew L. Bouknight, and his sister: Sheila A. Davis.
Cory leaves to cherish his precious and loving memories: His lovely wife, April D. Bouknight; three handsome sons, Cory J. Bouknight, Jr., of Blythewood, SC, Matthew A. Bouknight and Austin D. Bouknight, both of Camden, SC; two beautiful daughters, PFC Brianna Brown, stationed in Korea and Madison Bouknight, of Blythewood, SC; grandmother, Maggie Johnson, of Columbia, SC; mother-in-love, Annie M. Dantzler, of Elgin,SC; sisters-in-love, Elizabeth R. Dantzler and Angela A. (Rashad) Dantzler-Bell, both of Hagerstown, MD; two special friends, Quentin Gantt, of Columbia, SC and Ben Dinkins Jr., of Elgin, SC and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
