Mr. Clarence “Jack” Williams was born on September 23, 1948, to the late Pete Williams and Pearline Williams Robinson. On Wednesday morning, December 4, 2024, he entered into eternal rest. Clarence was married to the late Hattie Belton.
He was educated in the public schools of Kershaw County. After graduating from Jackson High School, he moved to Cassatt, South Carolina. Clarence was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church in his younger years then became a member of Nazareth Baptist Church. His favorite hobbies were cooking, gardening, tending to his chickens, watching tv, and singing and dancing.
Clarence was employed in the Kershaw County school district for many, many, years until his retirement.
In addition to his parents and lovely wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Robinson, and Russie Robinson; one sister, Susie Andrews and one daughter-in-law, Merline Murphy.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving children, Melvin Murphy of Lugoff, South Carolina, and Clarence Williams Jr of Elgin, South Carolina; three stepchildren, Gerome Belton, Ricky Belton both of Winston Salem, North Carolina, and Jazmina McElveen of Camden, South Carolina; five loving grandchildren, Eljah Williams, Caleb Shepard, Shanquita Moore, Trisha Barlett, and Sunil Barlett; four siblings, Christian Williams of Columbia, South Carolina, Reverend Douglas (Sandy) Robinson of Dazell, South Carolina, Shirley Robinson of Irmo, South Carolina, and Dennise Robinson of Camden, South Carolina; a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends that will truly miss him dearly.
