Barbara Stover Jones

Barbara Ann Stover Jones, daughter of Brodies Stover, Sr and Mary Jane Stover, was born in Camden, South Carolina on September 14, 1960. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2020.

Barbara was educated in the public schools of Kershaw county and graduated in the class of 1978 from Baron DeKalb High School. She received a business degree from Atlanta College of Business. Barbara would become a graphic artist and was employed by the Chronicle Independent Newspaper in Camden, South Carolina for over forty years. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church where she was an Elementary Sunday School teacher.

Barbara had many loves in life. She loved chocolate milk and orange juice. Barbara loved watching game shows, the Hallmark Channel and the Christmas in July marathons. She was a fan of the Miami Dolphins but, loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Brodies Stover, Jr and Marcus Stover, Sr, and a niece, Chrissy.

Those left to cherish her memories include her children, Celestia M. Jones, Monique Jones, Monica Jones, and Willette Garrick; her mother, Mary Jane Stover; siblings, Ronald Stover, Rosemary Stover and Linda Stover, all of Camden, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jayden Salmond, Camren Salmond and Chantel Salmond; friends, Miriam Couts, Dorothy Kirkland and Barbara Stevens; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
