Mrs. Almetta White English entered into eternal rest at her home in Camden, South Carolina on May 2, 2020. She was born April 27, 1947 in Boykin, South Carolina to the late Peter White and Rosa Lee Johnson White.
Almetta was a strong, caring woman who always put others before herself. She attended and graduated from Jackson School in Camden, South Carolina. Almetta worked over the years for the telephone company, the bubble gum plant and worked as a housekeeper for over thirty years. She was a hard working woman who enjoyed cooking, cleaning and watching old westerns. Family was important to Almetta and she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
In addition to her parents, Almetta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Theodore "Poochie" English; brother, Peter White; sisters, Janie White and Lottie White.
Those that are left to cherish her memories include her children, Anthony English, Theodore English, and Cheryl English; grandchildren, Alexander English, Jessica English, Christina English, Aliyah English and Alisha English; great-grandchildren; brother, Paul White; brother-in-law, James English; sister-in-law, Lethia Gray; a host of other relatives and friends.
