Larry W Dudley

Larry William Dudley, age 74 years, a resident of Elkins, WV and for the past six years a resident of Elgin, SC., went to be with the Lord, Sunday evening, July 24, 2022 at MUSC Health at Camden, SC.

Larry was born Saturday, November 15, 1947 at Omar, WV a son of the late James Winford Dudley and Virginia Dare Callison Bowers. He was married to the former Pamela Lynn Riggleman on June 15, 1970 at Elkins, WV. Surviving is one son, Kevin Allen Dudley and wife Carolyn Louise and Larry’s granddaughters, Stormie Oneeka-Jean Shiflett, Ekko Lynn Dudley and Adare Eiliyah Dudley, all of Elgin, SC; and one brother, James Dudley and wife Linda of Whitmer;

Preceding him in death was his wife Pam; and one brother, Jerry Dudley.

Larry was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1966 and was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in Vietnam. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for R. H. Armstrong which became Oldcastle. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 411 of Lugoff, SC, and was a member of the Awaken Church at Columbia, SC. Larry enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, shooting, and traveling. His favorite thing was spending time with his family and being a loving “Pap-Paw” to his beautiful granddaughters.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 4 to 7 PM, Friday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11 AM. The Reverend Brian Seders will officiate and interment will follow at the Beverly Cemetery at Beverly, WV, where the H. W. Daniels Post # 29, American Legion, the Tygarts Valley Post # 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the WV National Guard Honor Guard Program will conduct full military honors.
